Do they have anything left on copper? I'd expect not, but anything is possible.

Re: Whitman ARC Winterfest 23 - January 21, 2023
I was told that this was a possibility earlier today, but wanted to wait for confirmation. Glad to see that they got it sorted out. BREAKING NEWS! Due to work being done at the Knights of Columbus, we have to move to a new location. Chris N1CFB has worked to secure the Tri Town Masonic Temple hall n...

Re: MBTA New P25 system awarded to L3 Harris
It's MA, we never do anything the easy way! I personally have never seen a Moto and Harris system linked, I know its been done. But from the tech side, it must be a nightmare! VIDA and Astro 7.x are two totally different animals. I'm sure the next few years of implementation will be fun to watch!

Re: MBTA New P25 system awarded to L3 Harris
Thanks. Good to know. I'd be surprised if they use the same core, but it could happen. It was a big surprise when the T decided to implement EDACS and not Motorola every system but Worcester did. MBTA's new P25 system could use the CoMIRS Core or could be linked via ISSI (https://en.wikipedia.org/wi...

Re: MBTA New P25 system awarded to L3 Harris
Other than mobiles and portables being able to access Motorola trunk systems, I'm not sure that they can be linked. Mike or Bill might have a better idea. Of course the T could have gone with a Motorola system and utilized the MSP controller core. A cynic might think that someone at the T's post ret...

Not a big surprise since they have had a long standing relationship with the T.

Re: Ground Stop
I've noticed that they come in at a lower altitude during bad weather. Normally over my house they're around 4500'. During bad weather they're in and around 4000' maybe even a little bit below that. I landed about 90 minutes before that. All seemed normal then. Runway had some snow, pilot didn't bra...

Re: Ground Stop
I just watched a Porter Air DH8 do some fancy turning to get under a Jet Blue Airbus. It looked weird, but now the Jet Blue plane is doing a U turn. I'm glad they didn't hit because this went on literally over my house. Now it look like Logan has a bunch of planes in holding patterns. Looking at Log...

Re: Medflight - WBZ landing zone?
That seems to be an old list. Tufts was a Level 2 in the mid to late 2002, but by the time I retired in 2012 it was a Level 1. Lahey affiliated with BI maybe a year before the pandemic, so that made them a Level 1. I'm not sure South Shore Health is still a Level 2. Below Level 2 there is a sharp fa...

Re: Medflight - WBZ landing zone?
I've seen that on ADSBExchange a few times. It's been a very busy time for the Medevac folks. Even Level 1 hospitals are sending patients out to other Level 1 hospitals when bed space is tight. It's not all that unusual for D/HART and Maine LifeFlight to fly down to Boston these days. Same with the ...

Okay. I'll go back in and fix those. I thought I copied the use name from the Github document, but maybe not. Thanks! Only correction is that I didn't hear 0-01-036 in Waltham; was just fixing the talkgroup. It should read: |0-01-036||Waltham||Unknown Towing Service, jump starts, etc. To be identifi...

Re: Dispatch LTR updates
The bold works well for me. Once I figured out what you were doing, it made sense. I'll try to get the changes made later today. :nods: Exactly as you say -- red is a deletion, green is an addition, but changes within a line show up as both back-to-back with the changed portion highlighted in bold. ...

Re: Dispatch LTR updates
I took a quick look at the github page. It's a bit too late for me to do a deep dive, but if I understand what I was seeing red are the existing entries and green are your proposed changes. The red entries should be replaced with the green entries and any red entries without corresponding green entr...

Mike, are you sure this works with x36HP scanners? I used to be able to do this with the x96X and XT scanners, but never knew it would work with the x36HP.

Re: Antenna for picking up Worcester P25.
Where was the water getting into the antenna? I have a Tram 1410 and if I have to take it down and seal it, I'd like to have an idea of what to look for. Thanks. Here's what I did and found. Uniden BCD536hp, Tram Discone antenna on top of a 25 foot mast. 1000 feet above sea level. 1. Upgraded the 30...
