Re: Braintree Radios _ Sluething Opportunity?

I concur as well. Dedicated copper phone lines are becoming less and less reliable every day. Every department that is still using them should be aware by now that they should be switching to a fiber and/or microwave solution.

It’s looking like the rain won’t arrive until late afternoon on Friday, and Saturday will be dry. I’ll be there for the whole time l, except maybe a trip out for dinner on friday night somewhere. Hope to see many of you there!

Re: Fenway Park

Here's all I can confirm:

Tours - 452.625 D051
Fan Services - 464.200 - D031

We already have the fan services one in the wiki as customer service, so I suppose that doesn't need to be changed.

Security may be NXDN, not sure if conventional or trunked. Fan Services and tours are analog conventional, I will dig them up.

I'm a bit confused by your use of the "overload" as it sounds more like poor reception.
If you watched/listened to my video, you probably see what I mean by overload. Especially on 162.400, you can hear the audio from 162.475 bleeding all over it.

Mike, yours sounds considerably better than mine!

I just made a video showing the comparison, on the same antenna.

Re: SDS200 Observations

I too picked up the SDS200. Audio is great... But, the overload it experiences on VHF is AWFUL! On my 536 and every other scanner in the past, I've been able to receive the WX stations on 162.400 (RI), 162.425 (Cape Ann), and 162.525 (NH) just fine. On the SDS200, they're hardly there at all, or jus...

Re: One Voice Network S.E. MASS

Compared to the Industrial system, there is very little activity on the One Voice sites around here. That could be the only issue, you just haven't caught anything at the right time.

Re: Marshfield Police P25

That's currently one of the frequencies of the town LTR system. A good indication of when the new system may go online is when the LTR "blips" stop being transmitted on that frequency.

Looking at Stow PD's website, I see that the police station is located at 305 Great Road. That must be where they came up with that TG number.

Re: Stow MA PD using DMR

It's quite viable, just not for interoperability. Kenwood makes radios that can operate on multi modes. FM analog, P25, DMR, pick two. In the Stow area, I'd expect that DMR and FM analog would suffice. There are other dual mode radios out there as well, so using DMR on a conventional radio system i...

Others you may want to put in on TS2 are local 9, RI 3144, NH 3133. TS1 is usually more for the national stuff, Bridge 3100, TAC 310, 311, 312 (those 3 TACs cr...

I don't believe any Walmart stores stock scanners. Looks like you can just pick them up at the store if ordered from the website.
