A good test of your antenna would be to throw on 154.31 PL 107.2, Berkshire County Fire. They used to do an evening test around 6pm, and they still do the noon saturday fire siren tone out shoot off thing. With the transmitter was up on Lenox Mountain, the signal is typically heard towards Worcester.

VHF Low Band, California Highway Patrol VHF Hi Band, Atlantic City, NJ (At my parent house when I was in college). Here @ home, probably Coos county New Hampshire. UHF, Plymouth PD 800, Smartzone 5. FM Band, my farthest catches have been WPOW 96.5 Miami, and KJCK 94.5 (now 97.5) Junction City-Manhat...

Yes, just an FYI, I own both a 96 and 2096, so I can pretty certain I know how they work. The 96/2096 PL stays in PL mode in any mode except programming. So manual, scan, open or closed, the PL/DPL is always decoded when entered. The 92/2067 PL/DPL only works with the scanner in SCAN mode and the ba...

The usual suspects for me from RI, however I was also getting Stamford, Bridgeport PD and FD both. Stamford is a new catch for me. Also FM Catches WXKS in HD (Starting to be a regular during trop.) WQGN in HD, WWBB in HD. An interesting one, WSNE analog was not there (b/c of sideband noise from WHYN...

The PRO 96 does receive bleed through on 0.0075 channels, I know, I've heard it on mine, so it is still a possibility. We'd need to findout what the PL for that one I listed is at... Also by locked, do you mean the bank is closed? In the 96, that doesnt matter for PL tones. The PL tones work all the...

This was probably not East Longmeadow PD, but rather WMLEC's Channel 1 VHF tie to 460.225 (there is an 800 tie as well). There is a license for it to the Town of Monson under WBC459, located on Hovey Hill in Monson, in addition to mobiles. Palmer is also licensed base/mobile, Holland mobile and Eas...

UGH! I am getting NOTHING here. I am barely even hearing RISP! Know of any good houses AND jobs on the cape? lol I am starting to think my antenna's performance has become somewhat severly degraded. I've never been this dead before. I might need to "sneak" some QuadShield home from work and re-run t...

Nice. I got Hampden Police on 154.800 141.3 also, so it's open to the west as well. Hampden PD had been using 155.6025 PL 91.5 as the primary, and the 154.80 PL 141.3 as just a backup, so that is quite a catch. Reminds me of picking up Ayer's PD F2 from here... For what it is worth , I am getting J...

I was hearing NYC FD & Transit PD on the car scanner and several others that were unid to me. I didn't have the time to write any down unfortunatley, but several had that New York accent! So I know it wasn't local... (Plus I have a pretty decent memory for frequencies and they didn't ring a bell to ...

The problem with controlling spam is , it is like a STD, it can spread like wildfire and once it gets going, its hard to control. The big problem with Spam is most of it is originating from overseas, and what happens in the US is people who don't have routers/firewalls, and the necessary protection ...

The FBI im sure is very interested in him. IIRC, "hacking" US public websites, no matter what country you are in, is a US federal crime, and he will probably be getting a visit sometime soon. He's so bold it doesn't seem like it will take much to nab him. Scott you may feel free to use that comment ...

I looks like your site is cleaned. Yes, thanks. Fortunatley working closely with the webhost, determined my site being purely just standard HTML pages would be easy by just doing re-uploads. So, for the time being , I am clean now. Unfortunatley for Scott and others, the base of this site and other...

I'll have to keep an eye on this. Mysite necrat.com is also hosted by geekwith.us, but I haven't heard anything from (webhost) or no others emails saying anyone has seen errors on my site YET (not to say that they haven't happened). I found this post script crap on all my pages on my site too. Arrgh...

WMUR 9 coming in strong WJAR 10 crystal clear WENH 11 coming in OK WPRI 12 crystal clear On the FM band, some new ones. WLVG 96.1 WEHM 96.9 WKK...
