Re: ICE 900 trunk conversion to DMR Tier III
Checking 939.1500 on DSD+ this morning showed this message, "Blocking Network change from 1 to 3." Still running, but no additional messages since.

Re: ICE 900 trunk conversion to DMR Tier III
Don't run it as a trunking control channel. Just run it as regular DSD using FMP24. For some reason DSD-CC doesn't show the data properly. Back when we were trying to figure out the MCCA TIII Hytera system, DSD-CC worked fine, so it must be something with the Motorola implementation. It's still earl...

Re: ICE 900 trunk conversion to DMR Tier III
Same for West Bridgewater and Foxboro. I think that this is just the beginning of the process. Which brings up o couple of other questions. Is this a software update only, or does the hardware need to be replaced? Same question for the bases and the mobiles. If it's software only, I'm assuming that ...

Re: ICE 900 trunk conversion to DMR Tier III
I set up a custom search, but it doesn't see 939.1500. I used the entire band from 935.00 to 940.000 and it see multiple control channels for the Con+ sites, but nothing for the TIII sites. For the Con+ sites it shows Network, Site, and Color Code. It even shows TG numbers. It does nothing on 939.15...

This is from Quincy running 939.1500 as the control channel.

Re: ICE 900 trunk conversion to DMR Tier III
This is starting to come back to me a bit. The last time I did anything with a TIII system was before the pandemic. Fortunately, I set a couple up in DSD+ and kept the notes. Quincy shows 939.1500 as Channel 665 in DSD+. Rather type this all in, I'll take a screen shot with my camera and post it. Th...

Re: ICE 900 trunk conversion to DMR Tier III
I have, I think. Quincy should be 1.40 then? I'm not close to ready to reprogramming either my 536 or SDS scanners. Never mind the 325P2 The 536 shows the network as being "Net 1", but I believe that, that refers to the "DMR Region", so "1.32" (West Bridgewater) is Regi...

Re: ICE 900 trunk conversion to DMR Tier III
Duh. I just realized that the best way to get some of this information is to just run DSD+, without the trunking switches. Forboro show Site L1-36. It also shows NL with Sites 40, 65, and 66. DCC is still 7. Quincy shows Site L1-40 on 939.1500. I'm not sure how to translate that to what you posted M...

Re: ICE 900 trunk conversion to DMR Tier III
A couple of questions as I try to reprogram, if that's the word, DSD+. For Quincy I'm still getting Con+ on 935.2125, but TIII on 939.1500. At least most of the time. Network is still 134? Site for Quincy is 6.1? What do the Talk Groups look like on TIII? It looks like the best approach will be to s...

Re: 463.7125 CAP+ DCC09
Not even a blip in the Stoughton area. Will see what I can get, outside of N-289 blowing it away I think this one maybe quick work. 463.7125 went silent, so taking all those other licenses many just for 7125 , and then found 464.9250 with Cap+ CC 09 beaconing and showing Ch.3 thinking Trinity https:...

Re: File request: Cape & Islands for SDS 100
I asked that question of Paul Optiz and his reply was that there just wasn't enough capacity in the hardware to store that many settings. Which makes sense I guess. Of course filters were initially not meant for release to the customer base and my thought is that once they were they were never fully...

Re: File request: Cape & Islands for SDS 100
I really have to remember to experiment with that as a number of people report having better results with filtering set to off. If Mike's doesn't work out for you I can provide one as well. I'll reiterate here that I've found shutting off the global filter in the SDS models seems (in my case anyway)...

Re: File request: Cape & Islands for SDS 100
What are you using to program it?
I think I have a file you can use from my SDS100. I can export it from ProScan to an .HPE which is compatible with Sentinel.

Re: Comtronics MotoTrbo TRS Decoding Project - Official Thread
Monitoring over the last week or so I've noticed that Lynch's Towing TG368 and MassGeneral Brigham (formerly Spaulding) Ambulance TG250 appear to no longer be active. I can get the Abington site at full strength and Lynch's was very active as recently as last fall. Spaulding was fairly active up unt...

Re: Unfiltered ADS-B & the ADS-B Exchange sale
I've been playing with both alternatives since the beginning of the months and give globe.adsb.one a slight edge. Only because the labelling is a bit more detailed. The one thing that I haven't been able to do with either that I can do with ADSBExchange is enter a custom lat/long so that my location...

The military and MIT have been working on a project called Mag Nav. Someone at MIT discovered that the magnetic field on earth is not constant and varies with terrain. They have been working on a system that can read the magnetic fields and correlate the readings to location. It is being investigate...

Re: Unfiltered ADS-B & the ADS-B Exchange sale
I'm in South Carolina not far from Charlotte, NC. My son's house is on one of the approach paths to CLT. I'm using adsb.fi and I've noticed about 20 seconds of latency between when a plane makes it's closest approach to the house and when it shows up. Not a deal breaker, but I think ADSBExchange.com...

Thanks for the post. Adsb.fi certainly has the look and feel of ADSB Exchange. I plan to take a longer look and will likely switch.

Not unless there are multiple users with different Talk Groups. Or, if you want to track specific individual radio IDs.

Re: 453.2000 N343 - Fully Enc.
I'm getting this as both P25 and DMR with CC03. I haven't caught the NAC yet, but it appears that the P25 user is encrypted.
Both signals are more or less equal in strength.
