Lost. Totally and utterly.

Post by Aa00405 »

I've been scanning for decades.

Just sat down and programmed my new WS1040 manually (crazy I know)

I am trying to program Danvers electric DMR system and I am absolutely completely utterly and totally lost as to how I'm supposed to do it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I'm sorry to say, but your new ws1040 can't decode dmr systems. You'll need a scanner capable of decoding dmr systems. If dmr is a must have, try trading/upgrading to either bcd325p2/bcd436hp/sds100 handheld. Once you have a capable scanner, you'll need to register and pay for a dmr key, unless you receive a trade that comes with dmr already activated on the scanner. Best of luck to you.

Thank you! That makes me oddly happy (knowing it's not me)

Just FYI if you like Whistler products the TRX models can do DMR and NXDN also. I have both Uniden 436 sds200 sds100 and a TRX-1. They all have their own unique capabilities and characteristic.

Since the scanner is new, can you return it to the place of purchase and buy a Whistler TRX-1 or a Uniden scanner that decodes digital transmissions?

I have a Whistler TRX-1 and I am very happy with the scanner. It receives analog, P25, DMR and NXDN transmissions very well.
