8/14 dx

Looks like a strong one to the north, or it is from where I sit. Lots of MSCOMMNET activity here, a brief synopsis thus far.

172.4250 162.2 MSCOMMNET Ossipee Mountain, York County, ME
160.9500 $3DE MSCOMMNET Ossipee Mountain, York County, ME Control Channel
160.7100 $5E MSCOMMNET Bald Mountain, Hancock County, ME Control Channel?

Not sure about the third one from our Wiki data but I think it is given the direction of the path right now. I am using SDRSharp with DSD+ and just sitting on the CC so not hearing voice traffic. I really should have these systems pre-programmed for just such an emergency....or stick the zip code in my 536 and let it rip.

Just plugged in a zip code for Biddeford ME into my HP-1, and getting several hits on frequencies in that area.

I programmed the MSCOMMNET Ossipee site into my 325P2, sounds good from here. The analog signal I'm hearing on 172.425 162.2 appears to be a simulcast of TG 711 on this site.

More fun stuff in what's shaping up to be an impressive opening.

154.9350 $826 NHSP Troop D Milford, Hillsborough County NH
154.0625 206.5 East Lyme CT Fire/EMS Dispatch (RR)
154.1450 136.5 Hampton NH Fire
154.3400 $88A Portsmouth NH Fire
171.2500 $69 Dept of Homeland Security Newark NJ (RR)
154.5475 IDAS Apparently "Horizon Mobile" trunked system Site 1, which Wiki has listed as Falmouth ME. Hearing what sounds like an electrical utility company.
172.9875 $11E Voice channel for MSCOMMNET.
168.8875 $167 Flanagan, Brannigan, and Iskavitch in NY City. Heard Flatbush Avenue mentioned.

In addition to my Airspy/DSD+ combination I'm using the aforementioned 325P2 and several Uniden BC**** models all searching and being controlled by ProScan. Antenna is Comet GP-15 at top of the tower.
