Shark Spotter Plane
Shark Spotter Plane
Even though "summer" is over, there still appears to be some Great White sharks in the Outer Cape waters. Activity should be winding down , but anyone intested can listen to the spotter plane on 156.0525.

I guess not. I heard Entergy/Pilgrim Station doing their radio check with the local EOCs.

Re: Shark Spotter Plane
I didn't catch the tone. I was using FreeScan to control and log the scanner and then went out. When I got home I saw that we had a power outage and my computer reset so I lost the log. Thank you Neversource...
If I remember, I'll try and catch it tomorrow.

Re: Shark Spotter Plane
Update.....I have once again heard the 156.0525 CSQ active . I believe it was it was FRI Oct 25. Loud and clear from the Sandwich Marina on Cape Cod Canal.
Only getting the air unit not the chase boats. People have left , but the sharks are still out there. It was either Mon or Tues this week that the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy tagged 5 sharks in one day. Their Twitter post indicates that they may be down for the season. 43 tags deployed this season.

Caught them again today. Had some shark, seal and whale observations. I guess they will be staying up as long as the weather stays decent.
