Medflight

Post by joekehoe »

I have 460.8000 programmed in my BCD536. I do not hear anything on this frequency with the appropriate ctcss. I am wondering if I am doing something wrong. I live in Plymouth and should be hearing something from Plymouth base.

Not Plymouth, but I hear frequent Med Flight operations on this DMR trunk:

Reason: Changed link to our wiki page which is more complete on the trunk.

Medflight operates on 461.4500/107.2. They haven't been on 460.8000 in a long time.

Most of their operations seem to be on the ICE 900 Mhz DMR system.

Just heard two separate transmissions from them on the UHF I listed.

I thought the 460.80 was just used at the LZ with the hospital. My first time with the ICE 900mhz. I am at site #10 FR. Will I receive the MedFlight from the Boston area or do I need to have there site# entered in the scanner?? :Bruins:

Their Talk Groups appear on multiple sites, but it might depend on where the actual units are whether or not you hear them on Fall River. They have three helicopters, one fixed wing, and six ground ambulances and are pretty busy.

If you use adsbexchange.com you can track the helos easily. The registrations end in "NE" and you'll see them heading to and from MV and Nantucket frequently.
