Dell - EMC Cap+

#1 Post by garys » 09 Jan 2019 16:04

I've been working on this one for a while now and have finally had some luck with confirming who it is. No luck with TGID yet, but maybe someone else will be interested in sorting that out.

Update: TG 100 identifies as "Bedford Control." Heard on the Southboro site. Might be security.

WPSN431 with three locations listed. Sites 1 and 5 are confirmed. Site 3 wasn't on the air at the licensed location and the building has a different company in it. This might have been moved to Hopkington, but I didn't have time to go up there to monitor. Southboro has the strongest signal, Franklin requires getting fairly close to the site.

This is a networked Cap+ system as below

Franklin, MA
Site 1 DCC 7 NL 5
463.8000 OTA 1/2
463.8250 OTA 3/4

Site not active.
Milford, MA
Site 3
461.0500
461.1000

Bedford, MA

Site 3 DCC 7, NL 5

463.8250 OTA 1/2
463.9750 OTA 3/4

Southboro, MA
Site 5 DCC 7 NL 1, 3,5
464.1500 OTA 1/2
464.3000 OTA 3/4

Interesting! I'll have to give this a listen. I find WQWP410 for the Bedford, MA site.

Dell/EMC has a ~450' self-supporting tower in Southboro. It's also home to a couple DMR ham repeaters with awesome range.

I don't have my notes handy, but as I recall it's on Middlesex Tpke in Bedford. I went by the Southboro tower earlier in the week and the signal was very strong. My guess is that the HQ in Hopkington can hit that site with no problem. The other two sites are lower powered and seem to be somewhere on the campuses.
