US Open - Brookline 6/12 thru 6/20
US Open - Brookline 6/12 thru 6/20
I would expect to hear some of the Patches/channels being implemented this week as Public Safety ramps up for the US Open.
At this time, I am assuming [as we have seen for other major events] that the MSP will be patched with BAPERN, Brookline, Boston
the various interops, DCR and the Radio Tech TG's and conventional, and add in the Federal Partners on LE4/LE-11
Anyone closer, keep an eye our for the use of a Rental DMR (either a local vendor, or moved in just for this event)
Happy Monitoring

BAPERN Central patched into LE-4
Re: US Open - Brookline 6/12 thru 6/20
SOPS 5 being used. It sounds like it might be for traffic control. Doing roll call with post locations right now.
We're peace loving people, we're not hunting trouble, but if trouble should find us, we'll stand up and fight.
Re: US Open - Brookline 6/12 thru 6/20
Appears SOPS 5 is the MSP Assigned Primary Channel, with SOPS 4 as a Talk-around/Alternate

I believe I can hear related chatter on VTAC11 up in Nashua.
Very frequent and mainly unintelligible.

VTAC11 very active today, but I couldn't really figure out who was using it. I think a lot of interop channels are patched together as I also heard 8TAC91 at the same time.

VTAC 11 / UTAC 41 / 8TAC91 - Tac Stack
Not sure, been listening elsewhere but maybe linked with
Boston 14 / Brookline 1, LE-11 and SOPS 7 (but SOPS 7 has been dead)

Boston 14 was locked up last night for a while with an open mic and it sounded like it was coming from a patch.

add/Update of patches
LOC-PS-01 / VHF FIO LE-04 also patched with BAPERN 2 Central

Re: US Open - Brookline 6/12 thru 6/20
SOPS-5 being used today for MSP Outside US OPEN.
SOPS-1 Escorts more likely for NBA Finals
BPD-14 is on the same patches with VTAC 11 151.1375 (156.7), UTAC 41 453.4625 (156.7), 8 TAC 91 851.5125 (156.7) and LE 11 410.1875 ($68F) This seems to be the most active PS stuff on the Country Club Grounds.
SOPS-1 and SOPS-5 tonight have affiliations on the 700MHz Overlay as well.

For those who use the 700 Overlay, you may have luck actually hearing MSP this week.
A couple of time, I've heard the Troopers being told to use SOPS 5 "Digitial" - which does explain, for those of us on the Analog Zone 5, the digital sounding voices on SOPS5
guess the overlay provides better coverage for the portables in that area.

Re: US Open - Brookline 6/12 thru 6/20
My Turn,
The USGA in Brookline is using a DMR Capacity Plus Trunk. The frequencies were coordinated through Broad-Comm. These are the same frequencies used in Norton for the PGA there.
(Yes, I know they are separate, but the frequencies, and color code are identical.)
They are running the trunk under experimental license WT9XVG
The trunk is 8 frequencies.
CAP+
Call using DCC:05
Confirmed LCNs follow. (Using the SDS LCN finder, so confirmation is based on how good it worked!)
451.6375
451.6625-4
451.7625
452.1125
452.1625-5
452.6375
452.9125-6
452.9375
I got several talkgroups, a few easy to ID>
3 - Course Staff talking about items related to signs, etc
6 - Media Coordination
14 - Transporting Seniors around the course
15 - Security , making sure that the ONLY channel used for private security matters is this one
16 - Security chit chat
22 - "HCC to unit"
25 - UNID
30 - Medical Call
31 - Medical Staff, related comms to 30.
43 - Scoring tech support
46 - Tech Support
52 - Gold team asking for assistance
61 - Beverage services.
Also several media frequencies, mostly IFBs, all CSQ
450.7500, 450.7875, 450.8125 (Program audio), 450.8750, 450.9250, 450.9375, 450.9500, 450.9625, 450.9875 (Director PL)

LCN Finder Results
451.6375-0
452.6375-1
452.9375-2
451.7625-3
451.6625-4
452.1625-5
452.9125-6
452.1125-7
I don't know much about the Uniden SDS LCN Finder. Does the LCN finder typically start with "0", or is the "0" really an 8 that was missed?
I question the way the results of this came out and wish I had remembered my other scanner.
