Pan Am was still NFM yesterday, no plans that I'm aware of for them to change. The digital sound the poster on RR is hearing on 160.1625 is probably the station being discussed in this thread: http://www.scan-ne.net/sne/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=41370
New Hampshire Northcoast is NXDN on 160.275, and Keolis uses it on some maintenance/radio shop frequencies, but all road/dispatcher comms are still NFM.

He clarrified the freq from 160.1600 to now being 161.1600
after I pointed out to him the FCC allocations of 160.1600 not being valid and likely was 160.1625, but no he says 161.1600

Spoke with some employees, no plans for Pan Am to change to NXDN anytime soon.

Hearing Pan Am District 3 and 2 on 161.16 NFM as usual tonight no sign of NXDN.

When I was running a RR search to see if I can get any digital RR traffic, I did hear some but I believe it is DMR and likely intermod type interference from another band. It's possibly that is what you are hearing.

Wondering if the OP from RR was actually on 160.1600 which is an invalid freq, so I pointed him to the Rivers Trust 160.1625

Thanks folks for checking this out, didn't think they went NXDN, altho the licenses are already modified

On a slightly related note, it might be a bit less traffic on that line this week or until they dig out the collapse at the Hoosac Tunnel near North Adams. Hearing perhaps by the 22nd they may start running again.

IF I recall the OP on RR is from the Lowell/Tyngsboro area, don't think he is hearing 413 :Bruins:
