MSP Zone 8 New Talkgroup 10096?

#1 Post by mjd553 » 04 Feb 2020 22:15

Over the past week or so on my Uniden BC895XLT I have heard three transmissions on this talkgroup on Zone 8, all UMass New England Lifeflight Helicopter communicating with the hospital. On Sunday I heard the pilot identifying the channel as possibly WIMS-Wide or WEMS-Wide, not entirely sure what I was hearing as I was in another room. This would be the next channel after 10064 Worc PD Wide. Now there is already 10000 Worc EMS Wide so not sure how to identify this. It seems to be just for the airship. This would give the hospital the ability to talk to Life Flight statewide, right? If this is also on the CoMIRS system, then it would be talkgroup 631.

Since the 2 TG's above this one are "Worcester - xx Wide Area", wonder if this is Worcester - EMS Wide Area

627 / 10032 = Worcester FD Wide Area
629 / 10064 = Worcester PD Wide Area
to allow roaming outside of the P25 Zone

Isn't Worcester EMS thru UMass Worcester, who also dispatches for LifeFlight ?
maybe a console patch ?

Good find, now to ID the actual use, looks like some work ahead for you

IT was thought that
625 / 10000 was to be Worcester EM Wide Area [EMS ? or Emergency Management?]
