AMR buys Medcare (Springfield)

This isn't surprising. Medevie which owned EasCare and MedCare (previously Baystate Health Services) sold Eascare to the Brewster family a couple of years ago. They were looking to unload MedCare as well. Medevie found out that MA is a very competitive market for ambulances. AMR can pretty easily absorb MedCare as western MA is a stronger area for them.

I expect that they'll repaint, re letter, and likely put VHF radios into the MedCare ambulances. They'll likely stop using the LTR system that they are on now.
