Non Massachusetts Patches into the MA TRS - Legacy and CoMIRS

Post by CW115 »

Seeing occasional activity on TG 61152 on zone 4, Unitrunker shows it as a digital unencrypted TG. Have also seen this on zone 5 at times in the past. Unable to pick up enough voice traffic to ID. Likely MSP or maybe techs?

I am getting that same talkgroup on the Worcester Simulcast site showing it as P25 on Unitrunker. Also duplicate transmissions on talkgroup 3822. The dispatcher or whoever it is is talks very fast and is sometimes garbled. Sounds like it may be police or EMS from a large city, Maybe NYC based on some of the locations given. There is no response from any mobile units that I have noticed. It has been very active all afternoon.

At this time does NOT seem to be Massachusetts related. Some how a patch T/G is making its way into or better ONTO the MSP Zone 4.
The only frequencies on the Cape that are Digitally capable are 856.2375 , 856.2625 , and 857.2375. Dispatcher a quick talker...just need to narrow down some addresses to see where they are from. The NAC is 144.

Unknown TG on CoMIRS Worcester Site

Post by Cole0209 »

I help run an OpenMHZ system for the CoMIRS site in Worcester and noticed TG 3822 started appearing this afternoon. I've been noticing more analog patches being added to the site since the beginning of the year. I was able to identify 4455 as Shrewsbury Fire (154.235) but this one is a bit all over the place. Looks like the first transmission for this talk group was at 2:06PM today. I am located in Southern NH and don't have access to any bands below 853MHz in the Worcester region. Does this talk group sound like anything anyone has heard before?

Here is an OpenMHZ link filtered by TG 3822: https://openmhz.com/system/worcester?fi ... -code=3822

Worcester Trunk TG 3822 has NYC EMS Radio Traffic

Post by franciedog »

A real odd one - I am hearing EMS radio traffic from New York City on the Worcester Trunk TG 3822. All locations are in greater NYC area. I have never heard anything on this TG before and I have nothing in my notes. Maybe a citywide EMS channel? The dispatcher is giving out addresses and units are replying.

Any ideas?

As I listen more, most of the radio traffic is PD related with some mentions of EMS units needed.

Also on the MSP system Zone 8 TG 61152, began at 1409 hrs. Perhaps testing of some type of patch, or just trolling scanner listeners? The TG and traffic are new to me as well.

Thanks for the verification of TG 3822. Nice to know I am NOT loosing my mind!! This is really odd and a lot of the radio traffic is garbled and hard to understand.

Ed,

Talkgroup 3700 has now become active. Some type of simulcast for FDNY (Manhattan)

Talk group 3822 is on the Worcester site and same traffic on Zone 8 with talkgroup 61152

Same talkgroup appeared at the same time on CoMIRS Western MA North, sounds like a *very* busy medical/fire(?) dispatch. Also seeing TG 3700 as of 4:03pm, similar busy dispatch traffic. Audio quality on both is somewhat muffled and the dispatchers speak very quickly so no luck putting together a location or agency yet.

They are showing as External so likely patches. I doubt it is unofficial as they are on 2 groups across the system.
61152 analog is 3822 digital
59200 analog is 3700 digital

New York City Patches on MSP Zone 5

Post by Lex998 »

Anyone have any idea why FDNY Manhattan is patched on MSP Zone 5 P25 TG 59200 and what appears to be NYPD ESU is patched on TG 61152?

It looks to have been patched into both MSP analog and CoMIRS, both statewide. Finally ceased 5:07pm.

No idea on the cause or reasoning but it at least added a little excitement to a Saturday afternoon.

Non Massachusetts Patches into the MA TRS - Legact and CoMIRS

Post by ecps92 »

I've merged the 6+ threads into ONE for the multiple patches that appear to be coming from NYC into the Massachusetts State Trunk.

This might, since these are only appearing in P25 be time to log all the Audio channels in each of the Analog Zones to re-confirm which ones are P25 Only.
ie: Jeff on the Cape has already confirmed the 3 P25 Audio channels in use down there...
