Wayne County, IN seeks unique waiver for mobile repeaters

#1 Post by W1KNE » 20 Jul 2012 20:26

Wayne County seeks a FCC waiver to operate analog voice communications on 173.210, using 20K0F3E emissions designator. The FCC raised a couple of concerns of using a location 1 of 24kmra designation, versus "limits to within the county border", and the use of a 20K0F3E instead of a 12K5F3E narrowbanding mandate. The frequency 173.210 is usually restricted to digital telemetery.

Read the waiver online.
