Getting some kind of a net setting up on U-TAC 2, 453.7125, 156.7. Right now doing roll calls with at least 8 units answering. Last message was to stand by for a message and another roll call at 15:30.

After the 15;30 roll call I believe this is The City of Providence RI coordinating the free food sites for kids at the city's 11 rec centers. They were called by name and told to have their final numbers in by 18:15. I'll post this in the Rhode Island forum.

The City of Providence has set up a radio net on U-TAC 2, 453.7125, 156.7 to coordinate the distributing of free food for kids at the City's 11 rec centers. Last roll call was at 15:30.

Nice find!

FYI the naming conventions for those UHF channels changed years ago.
https://www.dhs.gov/sites/default/files ... 06%201.pdf

A "D" on the end of the Alpha TAG denotes Direct aka Simplex
UCALL40 453.2125 Repeater

UTAC41 453.4625 Repeater

UTAC42 453.7125 Repeater

UTAC43 453.8625 Repeater

Manytimes, here in New England they are also matched up with the VHF and 800 [thru a Patch, or the use of a Tri-Stack at the Repeater site]
Common use is to patch VTAC 11 / UTAC 41 and 8TAC 91 [1's together or 2's or 3's]

Providence recreation uses UTAC42 on a regular basis. I often hear young sounding temporary summer employees working at recreation programs during the summer.
