Londonderry Frequency changes

#1 Post by TheDoza79 » 20 Nov 2019 15:37

Don’t know if you guys heard but not too long ago, Londonderry started radio upgrades for police, fire and DPW. I know Fire and Police are going to be simulcast and fire will be P25. It also appears that fire will be on a new frequency:

KQO260: 156.1125

DPW will also be getting a new frequency and they will be going repeater with DMR:

KTZ373: 158.7975

156.1125 been in use by fire for years as part of the fire repeater system. Farmington DPW repeater also uses/used the frequency. The DPW language is not suitable for children. I see that Farmingtons license is no longer listed as active. They provided one strong signal here in Londonderry making me wonder if they were not interfering with FD portables.

158.7975 has rarely been automatically logged here, I suspect they were false trigures.

P25 is right around the corner. Windham already tested their P25 last week for the fire department.

Since Hampstead is dispatched by Londonderry, I wonder if they are going digital as well. I also wonder if Auburn and Chester will go repeater and P25 considering they are dispatched by Derry, who is currently on P25.
