Unidentified bus frequencies

#1 Post by n1zyy » 15 Dec 2019 23:28

Last of the stuff I noticed on a VHF discovery run. These all sound like school buses but I can't match them up to anything known. It's possible some of these aren't in NH.

151.9850 - D074 - Sounds like school buses, discussing seating. Repeater. Referenced going to Mountainview (likely a school name?), and Maple Ave. That combination makes me think Goffstown, NH. Not finding such a license, though.

152.5000 - CSQ - [Old Lancaster Road and Derry Drive -- that may be Sudbury, MA?]

155.1750 - 146.2 - Calling school re: a first grader. Possible simplex operations. "Re-fire it" (bus engine?)

159.5550 - CC=1 - Poor decode, bus backing. Peterborough STA was here with a different CC in 2017. Goffstown Truck Center was analog, last heard in 2015. Only getting partial decode so not a lot of context to go on.

151.985 d074 Heard references to New Boston bus and Goffstown. A good signal strength but quite hissy in NFM mode. Sounds like a repeater.

159.555 DMR CC1 TG 20 Slot 1 - Heard reference to A.E.S. (Allenstown Elementary School ???) Dispatch seems to be UID 1050. Strong signal. Frequent references to "Park Ave".
Also see a small amount of traffic on CC4, CC5, CC12, CC13 and CC14, logged but no audio.
Also logged a TG30 on CC1.

155.175 PL 146.2 Very weak signal.

This is in Radio Reference as "Tewksbury Transit".

155.175 is indeed Tewksbury Transit, WZU229. I drive there part time. Definitely simplex. Antenna is on the roof of the house where the company operates from on Whipple Road in Tewksbury. Somehow it's never been listed in the SNE Wiki, if someone wants to take care of that.

151.985 DPL 074 is Student Transportation of America Goffstown. Get them decently in Lowell.

159.555 DMR CC 1 Slot 1 most likely Student Transportation of America. From my notes, in 2017 I heard buses on same frequency, CC 1 Slot 2 TG 20 referencing Peterborough Elementary School.

Bennington, Antrim, Hancock, Greenfield, Dunbarton mentioned directly or strongly implied.

Allenstown is on the ICE 900 Trbo System. Dunbarton is on 159.555 and I believe is Goffstown Truck. It is weird for them on it as like you said the others are more southwest and Dunbarton is part of Bows School District. This is more odd as Bow has their own buses and repeater in Bow.
