Litchfield - Cap+ DMR

Post by ecps92 »

Seems Litchfield has begun (over the Winter) to build out a UHF DMR

Talkgroup 10 appeared to key up a few times today with a user ID of 1 and showing s1 and s2. I didn't hear any conversations.

I was monitoring a little bit today and talkgroup 10 keyed up a few times. I'm hearing pulses of traffic and the 'enc' appears on the bottom of my screen. It sounded like they were doing a count test, the way it was coming up. Also, in quick search mode, scanner stopped on 453.5000 and it showed talkgroup 20 keyed up also showing 'enc'. Looks like PD going E?

Little bit of monitoring today on my 436. Still quiet, but tg 10 keyed up still encrypted. More testing type blips. I also noticed XPT pops up where 'CAP' is pulsing at the bottom of my screen. I'm not familiar with that. A quick Google search shows xpt is a type of hytera system. Again, I'm not familiar with that either. Just observing.

I didn't realize that this topic was locked. I do have a question though. Watching this system, I noticed sites 1 and 2 appearing with maybe different frequencies for each site? Today, I captured 453.5000 and 460.5250 for lcn 1 and 2 under site 2... Before I saw 453.1500 and 460.1875 for lcn 1 and 2, but maybe for site 1? I have the frequencies lumped into one system set for Litchfield. Perhaps PD and FD have different sites? Or do I have it wrong?

Cap+ systems can have multiple sites, but there is no Smartnet like feature so each site will have different frequencies. I'd recommend setting each site up separately and seeing what happens.
