This may be Digital 101 , but have a question. Recently came back from Vermont. Not great reception where
we were. Had the TRX-1 scanning/searching. Every once in a while I would get a hit on one of my stored
frequencies. Talk groups and RAN would display, BUT the only thing to come out of audio was short series
of what I would consider quick busy dial tones. This was on several DMR/NXDN freqs. Any ideas. ?

Re: Dial Tone Busy Signals on DMR/NXDN
On P25 it indicates encryption I would guess it is the same for those. It just a goofy noise the scanner makes when encryption is in progress.

I believe the "Fleetwave" Commercial Trunk (similar to our ICE one down here), which is NXDN is 100% Encrypted.
You were likely picking up that.
