PanMass Challenge

Post by ecps92 »

with this coming weekend, look for multiple Patches to the Mutual Aid Networks [BAPERN etc] with the States TRS
for various TG's - along with the use of Amateur Radio and possibly the various commercial DMR's

Wishing all the Riders well in this heat and humidity

Events 4 is transport for broken bikes/and riders. Events 3 is logistics and medical for riders.

Next year 2023 Program 464.500 123.0 PL Business into your scanners, this is the main channel of the PMC. No location control. All handheld radios.
https://www.radioreference.com/db/fcc/callsign/WQXU552 All channels have the same PLs they only use the one.
They will be chatter in the afternoon on Friday at Babson College, MMA and Sturbridge) for starters. Saturday all sites including Gillette Stadium (Sat-Sun)
MMA on Saturday will be a beehive of activity with their own personal. and Law enforcement from Park Rangers, college police, Environmental Police which use a separate shared frequency which I will try to get next year. Provincetown on Sunday will be very busy. All road personal are issued state radios using the MSP Event channels this include all road vans to communicate to the command Center State Police to report incidents on the ride, accidents, medical what have you and they are to direct proper response to those areas.
Police details along the route are on another frequency I assume. Babson, Gillette and Provincetown Sunday all busy. It's a logistic communication wonderland.

FYI I moved your post from the 2021 event to the 2022 event to keep it more updated.

Thank you. I have them in one bank MSP Events all channels, PMC and MMA. I drive a TT Unit for them F-Sunday for this event. I took a crate out of the garage and made me my Man Box if you will with a MCA204 4 port with 2 spare 50 Ohm Terminator when I don't need 4 scanners and an Austin Spectra Mobile Antenna on my tractor. Pickup truck and magnetic portable at home.
