BCD396T file for MSP?

#1 Post by GerryL » 30 Nov 2019 18:43

Are files still available anywhere? I'm trying to understand how a system like the Mass State Police needs to be set up in the 396T. So far I'm not getting very far. I'd love to take a look at how a system like that is programmed. I'm mainly interested in western MA and have pretty good coverage from Greylock to north central MA. In the meantime, I'm re-reading the easier to read 396T manual...and trying to grasp what is needed.

I have ARC396 running now, but I can set up Freescan if that works too. Thanks for asking!

I may still have profile on my computer. I'll look when i'm back home Tuesday.

Looking at my files for ARC396, each Zone has to be set up as an individual system.

I have systems for Zone 5, Zone 3, Zone 4, Zone 8, and Western MA. I also have a system for MSP conventional frequencies.

Unlike the XT series scanners, you can't have MSP in one big system with different sites set up to start with different Start Up keys. It's kind of cumbersome, but can work.

If you want, I'll Zip up a few of the Zones and send them to you. If you'd prefer, you can PM me with and email address and I can send unzipped files. The files are old enough that the frequencies are out of date due to the 800Mhz rebanding.

Let me know.
