IFX

Post by KC1DVN »

On the Uniden BCD325P2 there is a setting for IFX.
What is IFX and what does it do for the Frequency?

It's called IF eXchange. It's supposed to work in theory to move the IF frequency if you're receiving a birdie, or an IF "hit" (like here, I would get the Weather Service transmissions on 162.55, and it would image 5KHz from the Portland Jetport ground frequency). Some people say it works, others say it doesn't do anything. YMMV
